About
Engineer by trade, problem-solver by habit.
I’m a senior software engineer with a background in physics and mathematics and nearly a decade of professional experience building web applications, integrations, and business systems.
Most of my work has involved taking ambiguous or evolving requirements and turning them into practical software that can survive real users, real data, and real operational constraints.
How I Work
I tend to work across boundaries rather than in a narrowly defined layer. A feature might start as a business requirement, move through database design and application logic, cross an external API, and finish in a Razor or React interface.
I’m comfortable working in established systems where understanding existing behavior matters just as much as writing new code, and I enjoy the kind of problems where the real challenge is figuring out what the software actually needs to do.
Background
Before moving into software development, I studied physics and mathematics. That background still influences the way I approach technical problems: break complicated systems into understandable pieces, test assumptions, and look for the model that best explains what is actually happening.
Professionally, my experience has ranged from long-lived ASP.NET systems and SQL Server applications to greenfield .NET Core development, third-party integrations, cloud services, payments, workflow automation, real-time features, and applied AI experimentation.
Still Exploring
I don’t think a technical stack should become a fixed identity. I’m continuing to deepen my work with modern .NET while expanding into PostgreSQL, Linux deployment, testing and observability, and spending time with Python, data-oriented work, and system modeling.
Some of that work is practical, some experimental, and some is simply driven by curiosity. This site is part of that process: not just a place to describe previous work, but a place to build and demonstrate what comes next.
